Alexia Davis Payne is a dedicated trial attorney serving clients throughout Augusta, Georgia. Her practice focuses on personal injury, criminal defense, and family law, where she provides strategic representation tailored to each client's unique needs.
Originally from Texas, Alexia earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and International Business from Baylor University before receiving her Juris Doctor from Tulane University Law School in 2006. She began her legal career through the Georgia Public Defender Standards Council Honors Program, where she developed extensive courtroom and trial experience.
Over more than a decade as a public defender, Alexia served as lead counsel in more than 40 jury trials, handling serious felony cases including murder, armed robbery, aggravated assault, child molestation, drug trafficking, and other complex criminal matters. She also mentored and trained new attorneys through Georgia's Transition into Law Practice Program.
In addition to her legal practice, Alexia is actively involved in the Augusta community through numerous civic and professional organizations, demonstrating her commitment to leadership and public service.
