James B. Trotter

James B. Trotter is an experienced business and real estate attorney at Trotter Jones, LLP, serving clients throughout Augusta and the greater Georgia region. Admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 2000, he has more than 25 years of legal experience. His practice focuses on complex corporate and real estate transactions, including business formations, mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, shareholder and operating agreements, employment agreements, property development, tax-free exchanges, and loan transactions.

James earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, cum laude, from Furman University in 1997. He received his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2000, where he served as Notes Editor for the Georgia Law Review. He is a member of the Augusta Bar Association, the State Bar of Georgia, and the Real Property Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia.
